I’ve been around SL since 2006. Since then I’ve had… I don’t even know how many, but a lot of avatars. I have gone through a lot during my time here, both in world and in rl. I’ve had a broken heart and a heart bypass surgery, I’ve been betrayed and been adored and a lot of things in between. At this point in my life, I unabashedly refer to myself as a sickly snowflake. I was a teenager in the early 80’s so you do the math on my age. I’m American, separated, female, and I’m legally disabled.
Through the last 10 years, one of the most constant things in my life, rightly or wrongly has been SL. Shopping and taking pictures has been a hobby of mine all that time, through broken computers, broken hearts, broken health, depressed mind.
I wish I had pictures of all the avatars, it’d be interesting.
But at this point, I’m just trying to put my time and money into some kind of good use. I think of SL avatars as being art, a way to express ourselves and that includes the fashion that we use to adorn our avatars. Here’s some of what I like. I don’t claim it to be high fashion or any of that junk. It’s just.. stuff I like to wear.
